It takes more than a 4.0 GPA to become a good clinician. We’ve actually accepted people with lower GPAs and standardized test scores when their non-cognitive metrics were very high, and we’ve turned down others who had great grades, but lacked some of those essential non-academic qualities. We want to find a balance, and having Casper has really helped us balance those qualities in our decisions.

I think something that Acuity already provides with its software is a clear picture of vertical and horizontal integration and gap and redundancy analyses. These types of tools are critical. I also think products that allow schools to better track individual students through their whole course in a real-time, comprehensive dashboard can help advisors coach them and take early intervention, if needed. It’s really all about boosting learner outcomes.

We used Duet to find additional candidates to interview. These candidates had lower step scores so we would have missed them otherwise, but with Duet we were able to interview 18 candidates that were fabulous!

Our data on Casper’s predictive validity clearly shows that there are benefits to using Casper in the admissions process…we think it could potentially help us determine the best candidates to invite to interviews after secondary applications.
